Welcome Beak Geeks!

Oshawa, Ontario suburban backyard bird feeders that attracts a variety of birds and animals throughout the day and night.

We use 2K and 4K cameras to capture the area as a whole as well as closer insets for watching all the action.

The goal is to improve and evolve over time into something more, but always a chill experience.

While there are over 500 species of birds in Ontario alone, a smaller amount visit backyards and feeders. Once in awhile, we get a surprise visit from species that don't normally travel through our area.

We appreciate your follows and comments. Please spread the word and leave us on in the background while you work for the sights and sounds of a suburban backyard filled with happy creatures.

BirdNET-Pi is built on the BirdNET framework using pre-built TFLite binaries. BirdNET-Pi is able to recognize bird sounds from a USB microphone, sound card or RTSP feed in real time and share its data with the rest of the world.

A Raspberry-Pi 4B with BirdNET-Pi uses several of the Cute Canadian Chicks camera feed audio tracks to analyze birdsong and identifies the species of bird.

A popup banner displays near the top of the video feed displaying the latest detected bird amongst the feeders at any given time.
