In a time of ancient 8 bit gaming consoles, MS-DOS and Amiga, video games in turmoil cried out for a hero. He was demiurgi: A mighty blob forged in the heat of the Battle of the Bits. The power, the passion, the danger - His courage would change... well, nothing really.

I emulate and I will usually play with a keyboard. I do have original controllers with USB adapters that I will use for first play-throughs as long as my thumbs can handle it.
I mostly play Amiga games, mostly, but you will see some NES and MS-DOS action here as well and the occasional Playstation, Mega Drive and SNES stream.

NES was the first gaming system I had in my own room growing up. Got it when I was in 2nd grade or so. Before NES I had only played pong and a little bit on my brother's C64.
I usually use Mesen but for multiplayer action I might go for RetroArch or FightCade.

I sold my NES and pooled money together with my big brother to buy him an Amiga 1200 and then I got his old A500. Got it in the 5th grade and sold it to get money for my first guitar in the 9th grade I think.
I don't miss my original hardware because of the disk swapping and loading times. Obviously the experience would be different today but I still emulate for the convenience.
Amiga emulation is very easy! Just download AmigaLive from amigalive.com/download. With the app you can also do online multiplayer and take part in online tournaments I host on the Twitch AmigaLive Twitch channel. Sign up for tournaments here: https://amigalive.com/gametime/events

I started playing MS-DOS games when I was in the 6th grade but at the time I was still mainly focused on my Amiga. Eventually I went PC only.
I usually use DosBox or PCem for emulation.

I mostly like running games no-one has run before. I enjoy routing and exploring glitches or skips more than the actual grind usually even though getting the record times is always very rewarding.
Even though I mostly pioneer runs (that's why I have so many WRs), I do try to push my records to the limit where I don't think I could do any better (otherwise I can't really let go).
