Hem and Who?

• Hello, I am Hem, and YOU watch, so welcome to Hem and Watch!
• I live in Australia, I speak English, Japanese and French.
• I play lots of games, I love analysis and critique of games and all arts.
• Not a fan of communities, social media or social conventions.
• I play for fun and I stream casually, just to share. If we match, that's cool! :)

• I am a variety streamer, so basically Hem & Watch is just me playing games and talking games with you. Not a content creator, not an entertainer, just a simple gamer guy!
• Feel free to talk, I always read and answer. If you prefer to watch and lurk, no worries, all good. No social pressure!

I don't stream regularly: kids, house, life...

• most week days, from 9am to 3pm AEST
• some evenings, from 8pm to midnight AEST

On Hem & Watch, there are no real written rules - just basic decency and common sense.

If you really want some guidelines:

• no toxicity or aggressivity
• no spoiler or backseating
• no prospecting or promoting
• RESPECT!

Hem and Where?

My routine is a cup of coffee and 5 easy steps:

1. Check the video game news on Steam

2. Test some demos

3. One Game A Day to keep the backlog away (short playtest)

4. Play the current main game

5. Raid someone new each time (see the RAIDS section below)

Hem and Which?

I play MANY games on my Steam account. Here is my short backlog list.

I don't play RECENT games (too expensive) or famous games like Call of Duty or Fortnite, etc. (not my thing). I played thousands of games in my life, and intend to play many more.

I try to test and review every game I own. To leave my mark, and also because I believe my analytical and aesthetical judgment is rather good! Interested in my reviews? Check out my YouTube channel or my Steam page.

I don't have Stream Goals like other content creators. However I am trying to:

• Play and review all my games
• Find some digital friends to talk about games
• Wake up in the morning and believe what I do is meaningful

Hem and Wares?

I built my PC entirely and by myself. Nothing fancy, every part is low or medium end.

I hate social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc). I don't use them, I don't do self promotion. I use stream vods and clips for memories. I like it simple and genuine :)

Hem and YOU!

I like discovering new streamers each time. Not famous gamers with many viewers, but genuine and casual people with few viewers - anonymous people... like me!

I am not very social so I guess this is my own way of getting some social daily dose, and acknowledging the silent gamers we all are.

No pressure to stay and raid with me, no need to chat or follow: you can just stay or go. Most of the time I raid by myself :)

• Can I share a link?
  Sure, as long as it's not spam, ads, or other junk.

• What are you favorite games?
  Outer Wilds, Myst, Escape from Tarkov… too many to mention! I made my top 100 a few years ago live on stream in the past (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3).

• Which game are you going to play after this one?
  Not sure, I have a short list available here Easy, just check this list.

• What is that "40" emoji in the corner?
  I don't like birthdays, but I started streaming at 40, so I just left it there as a souvenir.

• You have an accent, where are you from?
  France, and lived in Japan and Australia. I don't really belong anywhere.

• Why don't you play game X? Why don't you like game Y?
  Tastes! I don't really like main stream games (ie: played by millions), but I gladly play any AAA game if it is good. The main stream stuff is just not for me.

• What is that weird guy emoji icon in the corner?
  A tribute to my favorite contemporary musician, Serge Fiori, who died recently.

• Why don't you add tool X or emoji Y to your stream? you would get more viewers!
  I don't like promotional stuff, I only do stuff my heart feels like.

• Did you do your emojis/logo? do you need emojis/logo? I am an artist!
  I did everything by myself (with AI help sadly). It does not look pro, but I don't need anything thank you!

• Why is there a dolphin in the corner of the screen?
  It is Ecco, one of my childhood games, and I am hopeful its near comeback will be for the best!
