我在加州的Hermosa海灘長大，在那裡我喜歡在海灘或騎腳踏車。 我在加州北部的洪堡州立大學讀書，主修人類學。 我還在大學學習了兩年漢語，激發起了我對中文的興趣。 畢業後搬到了台北，找到了一份英語老師的工作。 我在台灣教英文十年，在東京教英文六個月，在加利福尼亞再教了六個月。 在台灣生活多年後，我會說一口流利的中文。 我正在使用Kick，因為我認為它可以是教師教學進步的一種方法。

I grew up in Hermosa Beach, California where I spent many days at the beach or biking. I went to college at Humboldt State in northern California where I majored in Anthropology. I also studied Chinese for two years in college, which led me to Taiwan. I moved to Taipei one month after I graduated and got a job as an English teacher. I have taught for ten years on and off, with six months in Tokyo and six more back in California. After years of living in Taiwan I am fluent in Mandarin. I'm streaming on "Kick" because I see it as a means to teacher on a scalable level.
